Halifax Cycling Coalition Board Members

Co-Chairs

The Co-Chairs are the face of the coalition. They organize meetings, speak to the media and act as contact people. They also chair Board of Director and General Meetings and sit on a variety of sub-committees.

Vice-Chair

The Vice-Chair plays a number of roles; they provide support to the Co-Chairs, help publicize meetings and events and sit on a variety of committees.

Director of Membership

The Director of Membership heads up the Membership Committee, helps create and carry-out strategies to increase membership and organize the membership database.

Director of Education and Advocacy

The Director of Education and Advocacy heads up the Education and Advocacy Committee, plans committee meetings, promotes a good working relationship with community partners, the HRM and the province and helps plan committee events.

Director of Communications

The Director of Media and Communications heads up the Media and Communications Committee, plans committee meetings, develops media and communications materials and helps publicize the coalition and its events.

Director of Infrastructure

The Director of Infrastructure heads up the infrastructure committee, and plans committee meetings. The director of infrastructure also keeps tabs on present infrastructure and pushes for improvements.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for keeping the Coalition?s books in orde August 6, 2009 ise the Board and General Membership on the financial position of the Coalition and are responsible to deliver an audited statement to the AGM.

Secretary

The Secretary takes notes at Board of Director and General Meetings. They create minutes and distribute them to the membership in a timely fashion.

Member at Large

The Non-Executive Directors and Member at Large provide additional support and advice to the Board and Coalition. They plan strategy, attend meetings and sit on a variety of committees.
